Ever since the first time I walked on to campus at Penn State I knew one thing for sure. I wanted to make an impact. The best possible way that I could make an impact would be to make an impact in the lives of others. I thought of no better way to help others than to support THON and help the fight against childhood cancer, to give each child and family the chance to experience life to the fullest.
One Four Diamonds family that I have had the honor of supporting and getting to be a part of their lives, is the Tyler Truex family. Tyler and his family have been partnered with Professional Golf Management for the last nine years. In 2008 and 2011 Tyler was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. He is currently in the 8th grade, is a chair in his school's Mini-THON, loves soccer and has an older and younger brother named Ray and Gabe. To this day Tyler has been off treatment for 4 years!
Throughout the year, as an organization Professional Golf Management will be fundraising to benefit THON. Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million to support 4,000 families and fund innovative research to help the fight against childhood cancer! Since I got to Penn State two years ago, Professional Golf Management has raised over $40,000 benefitting THON! It is our hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.
We truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission. We fight, For The Kids!
