Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

For those who do not know, THON is a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure. Katie and I became friends sophomore year as captains for Altoona Benefitting THON and junior year we were lucky enough to be put on the same Rules & Regulations committee. Now, we want to spend our senior year THON experience as an Independent Dancer Couple! It would be such a privilege to able to dance for 46 hours for these kids that have to battle cancer.

If chosen as independent dancers, we would join hundreds of other Penn State students on the dance floor of the BJC for 46 hours. To be chosen to dance, we need to raise $2,800 by January to be entered into the lottery system. For each additional $700, our name will be entered again. So the more money we raise, the more chances we have to get picked from the lottery system. Our fundraising will be to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. It is my hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.

Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and fund critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.

I first got involved in THON for my mom, a now ten year cancer survivor (!!!), and it has continued to become so important to me because it truly is the most amazing feeling knowing that all of your hard work goes to such a great cause and helps so many families in need. Being a part of this incredible organization has been such a rewarding experience that I will cherish forever. With the help and support from all of you, we can change a family's life and help that child live the childhood it deserves. Every penny counts to reach our goal and every penny is appreciated as it is all FTK!!

One day we will dance in celebration, until then we dance for a cure.

I truly appreciate any support you provide, either by making a donation or by sharing my page on social media to spread THON’s mission. Thank you so much for joining the fight against childhood cancer!!!!

For the kids,
