Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

Please consider donating to THON today! Any donation or share of this page is a step closer to finding a cure for cancer and giving children the chance to live out their dreams.

Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THON. This year, I am taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.

Throughout the year, I will be fundraising to benefit THON in an effort to provide outstanding financial and emotional support and spread THON’s mission world-wide. It is my hope that one day, every child will have the opportunity to live out their dreams.

Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and fund critical research to take our fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.

My THON journey started back in 2012, when my dad convinced myself and my best friend Becky to attend THON one snowy weekend in February. At the time, I was 13 and completely naïve when it came to cancer, let alone pediatric cancer. The moment I stepped through the doors of the Bryce Jordan Center that weekend, I knew I was going to experience something special. From that moment on, I have been in love with THON and its philanthropic mission to conquer pediatric cancer.

Heading into college, I was overjoyed to finally be a part of THON as a volunteer. I spent my freshman year at Penn State Altoona where I was involved with Altoona Benefitting THON. After transferring to University Park my sophomore year, I was elected to join a Rules and Regulations committee where I learned the ins and outs of THON and worked to keep the BJC safe THON weekend. This past year I also helped my organization, Epsilon Sigma Alpha, and our partner Alpha Epsilon Pi, with their fundraising efforts.

I couldn’t be more thankful to have had the opportunity to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. The past two years have brought me such genuine happiness knowing that I was a part of the thousands of Penn State students fighting to end pediatric cancer. This year, along with my best friend and the person who I started my THON journey with, I will be taking my commitment to this fight one step further by raising money to be entered into the lottery to become a dancer for THON 2019! If you are interested in joining Becky and I in our efforts, please consider donating or sharing our page. Everything we do is FTK!
