Penn State Scranton in the Fight Against Pediatric Cancer

Be Part of us Making Campus History!

THON is a selfless organization that helps raise money for children with pediatric cancer. Our Penn State Scranton campus has been working hard all year to make a difference. It is clear that our campus has a goal with a record breaking year. Last year our campus doubled its funds rasied from the previous year before. This year our campus was given an additional dancer. For the first time in history Penn State Scranton will have three student dancers representing our campus during THON weekend. Also for the first time ever our campus has been paired with a THON family! In 2017 our campus raised $14,000. In 2018 our campus raised $29,000. This year our goal is $35,000! This goal is possible with the help and support of our community. Be part of making a differnce, FTK!

Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

Join us in our commitment to turn childhood dreams into reality by supporting THONTM. Penn State Scranton, is taking action by uniting with 16,500 student volunteers and over 25,000 alumni supporters in the fight against childhood cancer. Our year-long efforts culminate in a 46-hour, no-sitting, no-sleeping dance marathon each February to celebrate our survivors, remember those we’ve lost, and take a stand--all in hopes of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.
Since 1977, THON has raised over $157 million for Four Diamonds at Penn State Children’s Hospital, providing comprehensive care for 4,000 families and funding critical research to take this fight beyond central Pennsylvania and spread hope around the world. We work year-round to provide both financial and emotional support for our families, ensuring that they never have to face cancer alone.

Organizations play a key role in helping THON fulfill its mission of conquering childhood cancer. Throughout the year, Organizations contribute to the efforts of thousands of Penn State students across all campuses by facilitating fundraisers and providing emotional support to Four Diamonds Families. Penn State Scranton works alongside these Organizations with the common goal of one day dancing in celebration of a cure.
