Growing up is a beautiful thing. Let’s fight for it.

Since their first THON in 2015, Taylor and Erika immediately knew they needed to dance together in THON 2019. This desire to be on the THON floor grew even stronger in the years to come. Their connection to cancer hit closer to home in the next few years. In early 2017 Taylor's mother was diagnosed with Stage 1 Breast cancer. Her family, like all others dealing with this horrible situation, went through the pain and suffering that comes when a loved one is sick. They managed their expensive hospital bills and never ending visits. The chemo took her hair and all her energy but luckily, her mother beat the fight and is now healthy in remission.

Just this year in October, Erika's father went to a regular check up appointment and returned with unexpected news. There seemed to be a growth on his lung that needed to be determined cancerous or benin. He went in for lung surgery in which they tested the growth and it tested positive for lung cancer. They removed the lower lobe of his lung and he is now in a 3 month survival program. 8 years prior he had overcome Prostate cancer. The Cristiano family was baffled when they received their medical bills which totaled to almost $200,000. This opened Erika's eyes to the bills that must pile up for all the families caring for a child with cancer.

The last few years have completely turned Taylor and Erika's lives upside down. Together they have uplifted each other with love and support through every heart break and watching our parents go through this pain has motivated us to play a bigger role in THON for the kids. We want to find a cure, we want to dance for a cure.

Please help us make dreams come true.

Taylor D'Anna & Erika Cristiano have been working tirelessly all year with the hopes of being selected to dance in THON 2019. Independent Dancer Couples are dedicated individuals who set up their own fundraisers throughout the year, and with the support of friends and family, will obtain tickets in a lottery system in the hopes of earning a spot as dancers in the Penn State Dance Marathon. With your contribution, you will bring Taylor D'Anna & Erika Cristiano one step closer to being able to take a stand against childhood cancer during THON Weekend 2019.
